Merle Walker

Merle Walker is a contemporary artist exploring identity, connection, culture and the stories that shape individuals and communities across generations. Drawing from Māori perspectives, multicultural influences and lived experience, her work uses visual storytelling to invite reflection, belonging and dialogue across diverse worldviews. Merle seeks to honour heritage and contemporary experience while creating spaces where multiple voices and identities can be seen, shared and valued. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Visual Arts.
