Jimmy James Koratoras

Jimmy James Koratoras is a contemporary Māori-Greek artist whose practice is deeply rooted in his whakapapa and Indigenous methodologies. Working through karakia and intuition, Jimmy creates work that weaves together identity, spirituality and his own lived experiences. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in New York, Melbourne, Beijing, Brisbane, Chengdu, Aspen, Queenstown and Auckland, and is held in private collections around the world. Drawing from both his Māori and Greek ancestry, Jimmy’s practice is an ongoing exploration of connection, healing and the unseen forces.
