Dayna Raroa

Dayna Raroa is a Ngāti Porou artist and creative practitioner from Te Tairāwhiti. Grounded in whenua, whānau and whakapapa, her practice explores Māori visual language through a contemporary and personal lens. Working across painting, mixed media, textiles and installation, Dayna draws inspiration from tiki, kōwhaiwhai and other Māori forms, reimagining them through bold colour, graphic form and pattern. Her vibrant works explore the relationship between cultural tradition and contemporary Māori expression.
