Conor Jeory

Born in 1969 in Tairāwhiti Gisborne, New Zealand, from Ngāti Porou te iwi descent. A self-taught artist, Conor works under the umbrella of contemporary Māori art. Since 1991 he has worked in a multidisciplinary process from papier mâché, thermoplastic modelling, music, theatre, silversmithing, ceramics, wood and stone carving, fur cloak-making, leather gang-patch textiles, photography and printmaking, digital graphics, filmmaking and jewellery fabrication.
