Lissy & Rudi Robinson Cole

Lissy Robinson Cole, Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Kahu, and Rudi Robinson Cole, Ngāruahine, Te Arawa, Ngāti Pāoa, Waikato, are a husband and wife duo and contemporary Māori artists transforming crochet through colour, scale and form. Creators of Wharenui Harikoa, their work is inspired by tūpuna, intergenerational healing and deeply felt joy. Their bold, saturated colours express light, energy and intention, with each Wheku carrying the kaupapa through its own colour, form and presence.
